From the University College Dean’s Desk

University College Colleagues and Friends:

We’ve had an incredibly busy summer putting the finishing touches on the university strategic plan, ushering in new staff and programs, welcoming our high school students in our Pre-College program, and preparing for the upcoming academic year. Our staff and faculty are excited for the upcoming year and can’t wait to welcome our new cohort of University College students to campus and online this fall.

We will have several important announcements over the coming months as we add new degrees and certificates, new programs and staff, and UC takes part in new initiatives in Garden City, online, and at our off campus centers. UC continues to grow and expand thanks to all the talented staff and faculty who help make University College the leader in nontraditional education that it is today.

Finally, we want to welcome in all of our new adult, online, high school, veteran and international students who well be taking part in University College programs, events, and initiatives this fall semester. We are excited to begin working with you to achieve your academic, professional, and personal goals. As always, we are here to assist you all along the way. Welcome to Adelphi!

Have a great year everyone!

Shawn O’Riley
Dean of University College
