University College is offering two new courses that blend the benefits of online class, while still meeting three times.

University College is now offering low residency options for two general studies courses, which include sessions held both online and on campus. Students attend classes on campus on three Saturdays during the semester; the remainder of the course work is offered online.

“Low residency programs and courses provide students with much of the schedule flexibility provided by fully online delivery while still providing opportunities for face-to-face connections and discussions with classmates and faculty,” said University College Dean Shawn O’Riley, Ed.D. “These programs give students who live further away from Adelphi the opportunity to take part in our campus life, while allowing them to fit their studies around their busy lifestyles.  For many of our busy, working adults, the low-res format is a perfect mix of flexibility and connectivity.”

This arrangement offers both the flexibility of online learning and the face-to-face personal connections that happen during live instruction, combining the best of both experiences for students as they complete six credits in two courses.
