Admitted Students of the College of Professional and Continuing Studies

Welcome to a community of success at the College of Professional and Continuing Studies.

Congratulations on your acceptance to the College of Professional and Continuing Studies!

In addition to acknowledging your well-deserved achievement, I want to take this opportunity to assure you of our ongoing support and guidance as you take the next steps in the college enrollment process. This is a time of transition when you will be making important decisions about your future. We are here to help with the transition.

Once you’ve paid your tuition deposit, you’ll need to meet with your College of Professional and Continuing Studies adviser to evaluate your transfer and life experience credits. You may register for classes and begin to earn credit during this process, but just for one term only. All application materials and credit evaluations must be completed in full before you are permitted to register for your second term.

Another important reason to connect with your adviser is to register for orientation and to learn about important dates and upcoming events.

Finally, talking face to face with a current Adelphi student is a great way to get started, and we’re happy to arrange this for you. You can also connect with fellow students on Facebook and Twitter.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Adelphi community.

Need Help? We’re here to help you transition.

Our goal at the College of Professional and Continuing Studies is to make student transition into college as seamless as possible. We want to ensure that every detail, from planning out your course schedule to applying for graduation, is simple and efficient. Our office is open five days a week, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Advisers are available to assist you via scheduled appointment, walk-in, phone, or email.

Coming back to school is a huge adjustment, so knowing about all the Student Services that are available to you is crucial to your success.

Understanding eCampus, Moodle and other programs doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Online tutorials and informational web pages have been created to answer any questions you have.

Your adviser can also assist you in understanding how to use Moodle, eCampus, Gmail and CLASS.  Feel free to schedule a technology orientation session with them in person or on the phone if you need help with the technology.
