Community Auditing Program

Learn more about the College of Professional and Continuing Studies program for Community Auditors.

Members of our community can audit graduate and undergraduate courses for personal enrichment offered online or at Adelphi’s campuses in Garden City, Manhattan, Hauppauge or Hudson Valley. The majority of the courses in the University are open to Community Auditors, including but not limited to literature, social sciences, history and foreign language.

Because there is no credit attached to the courses taken by a Community Auditors there is no academic responsibility. Students who are currently enrolled as matriculated students at Adelphi University, but who have not graduated, are not eligible to enroll in this program.

Courses for Community Auditors are available throughout the year, including summer.

Community Auditors are allowed access only to Moodle course materials. They do not have access to any other services, including, but are not limited to: printing, library databases/library borrowing, LinkedIn Learning tutorials, the Learning Center/Writing Center, or any other eCampus service designed for matriculated students.

Course Fees

  • General Registration (Undergraduate and Graduate): $450 per course.
  • Senior Citizens: $85
Payment can be made online by credit card or electronic bank transfer after the Community Auditor contacts an advisor to select a course and establish a student account.

Community Auditors may receive a refund if the course(s) is dropped within the first two weeks of the semester. To drop a course, call 516.877.3400 to begin the refund process. Any drops after the first two weeks of class will not be refunded.
